Native American Youth and Family Center’s mission is to enhance the diverse strengths of our youth and families in partnership with the community through cultural identity and education. Students participate at Tryon in our Cultural Ecology Program that decolonizes environmental education with a cultural lens.

Parrott Creek Youth and Family Services helps families and youth identify strengths and develop skills that build stronger families and safer communities. Our partnership builds authentic relationships between Indigenous communities, social service agencies, and conservation partners to develop culturally inclusive trauma informed environmental education and stewardship programs.

Together we co-create Cultural Ecology programs and Culture Day, an annual event that offers the chance to listen and learn from Indigenous educators in the culturally rich land now known as Tryon Creek State Natural Area.

As a community organization HAKI is resource of education, advocacy, and empowerment for African immigrants in the Portland metro area. Together at Tryon we provide culturally relevant outdoor experiences.

Camp ELSO teaches STEAM and nature-based education through a lens that centers and elevates the stories, ways of knowing, individual needs, and lived experiences of Black and Brown communities.

Blueprint Foundation aims to eliminate the opportunity gap for Black youth by engaging in culturally specific experiences that introduce them to and prepare them for, family-sustaining careers in disciplines where black-identified individuals are currently underrepresented.

Cottonwood School of Civics and Science provides a creative learning environment where students develop a sense of place and become stewards of the natural world and active citizens within our community. Students and teachers participate in our Cultural Ecology programs.
