Thank you for your interest in caring for the land now known as Tryon Creek State Natural Area.  Join Friends of Tryon Creek to improve forest health by planting recently harvested plant stakes from live trees and shrubs near the creek.

Volunteer tasks include hiking and the use of small tools. Best suited for adults or youth ages 10 and older accompanied by an adult. Gloves, tools, supervision, and directions will be provided.   Please come prepared to hike and work off-trail in uneven and wet terrain, layered clothing, long pants, and sturdy shoes are all a good idea.
