Who should attend? Educators of all walks, teachers, volunteers, community members, early career folks, those interested in learning more about the environmental field, cultural implementation, restoration and working with youth.
Learn Indigenous ways of knowing, culturally proficient communication, land-based educational hike methodology and more.
Additional Information:
$30 for members, or $60 for non-members which includes a complimentary individual Friends of Tryon Creek membership
Light refreshments and snacks will be provided
Certificate of accomplishment upon completion
Learning goals/objectives:
Learn tools of balance through the Relational Worldview Model
Explore Indigenous ways of knowing through our cultural restoration plan including land-tending and cultural burning
Experience an educational hike using land-based methodology
Learn how Friends of Tryon Creek embodies our values and focuses on equity, inclusion and social justice
