Celebrate Mother’s Day in nature with a friend or two while learning how to create your own one-of-a-kind living centerpiece using either Pacific Northwest native succulents (for outdoor) or ornamental succulents (for indoor) in a repurposed lamp-globe container.
This 1.5 hour workshop with Poppy & Finch includes a short presentation on the beauty, versatility and crucial role of native plants for our wildlife, basic planting, floral design composition techniques and then have fun decorating our centerpieces with rocks, moss, and dried branches/seed pods/flowers. I also will bring more fun add-ons to add to your centerpiece (not included in the workshop fee; you can purchase during the workshop).
You will walk away with your own unique mini-habitat tabletop garden with information, care instructions, and resources! You'll feel empowered and inspired to incorporate native plants to your garden and your outdoor spaces such as apartment balcony.
Workshop fee is $85 includes:
• 15% workshop fee will be donated to Friends of Tryon Creek
• all supplies/materials
• An informational pdf/print out about native plants & the benefits of gardening with them
• A print out of a list of resources & native plant nurseries

The first person to sign up, with a friend, will take home a centerpiece designed by me during the workshop. Please sign up by May 10th for me to gather supplies/materials. Space is limited to 12 people; 1 person per registration.
