In partnership with Oregon State Parks, Friends of Tryon Creek are dedicated to the stewardship of our 650 acre urban forest.

When the park was created in 1970, English ivy covered much of the ground, smothering trilliums, ferns, huckleberries and trees.

Since 1995, volunteers have removed 260 acres of ivy by hand. Where ivy remains, it poses a major threat to our forest– we need your help to amplify this effort.
